Hole matching
Matching holes is a critical design process. A design with well-matched holes can result in –
– smooth concrete surface
– reduced time for a concreting circle.
When designing the formwork with AutoCAD, hole matching is a challenging operation. The designer has to visualise the building by studying the orthographic views, which makes it more difficult to match the holes.
At RCCCAD the formwork design is model based & we have various software tools to match the holes.
We divide the panels into two categories-
1. Main panels like wall & deck panels
2. Junction panels connecting the main panels, like SL (soffit length) connecting wall panels to the deck panels & IC (internal corner) the junction panel placed at the junction of two walls.
We generate manufacturing drawings with accurate hole-matching patterns for the junction panels according to the surrounding panels.
We generate bespoke hole patterns for-
LS, SL, IC, K, KC, KE, IBX, IBE, SCI, SCE, SX, SXI, SXE, BCI & BCE.
The result is the reduced time for the concreting cycle & better concrete finish.
